From 2018 to present, HealthRight in partnership with IMA World Health Kenya has implemented the Afya Jijini USAID-funded 42-month maternal and child health project. This project ensured a dignified delivery process for women in 12 selected health facilities across Nairobi’s informal settlements.

Our key achievements:

• Built the capacity of 200 healthcare workers and community health volunteers (CHVs)
• Empowered 4000 low-income women with knowledge about the universal rights of childbearing women and the demand for respectful maternity care
• Integrated mobile technology to improve the referrals of pregnant women to facilities for skilled deliveries in partnership with Medic Mobile

This project reached 14,838 people, including 4000 women empowered directly on Respectful Maternity Care (RMC)
