Over 40% of students in Kenya’s public universities experience some form of violence with more than 68% of these cases affecting females. Aligning with the HealthRight Kenya 20th anniversary celebrations, the Voices of Change campaign launched on Thursday 13th August, 2025 at the Boma Inn, Eldoret seeks to initiate the long-term impact in normalizing mental health conversations and safe space advocacy in Higher Education Institutions. The launch brought together Student Advocates of Mental Health, SGBV, and Leadership from select institutions of higher learning.
