The HealthRight Kenya team led by Programs Manager Hellen Chemtai joined other partners at the Gender-Based Violence Project Close-Out meeting in Bungoma. Through this project, Bungoma County has made significant progress in combating GBV through a strategic partnership with the Government of Finland.

The Principle-Based Leadership (PBL) model, has played a crucial role in boosting fight against GBV through the active involvement of men, particularly Sabaot and Bukusu elders, in reshaping societal attitudes and promoting gender equality. Major policy reforms, public awareness and faster response mechanisms have been created.
